Behind the Scenes with En Mase

Join us for an event that will give you the chance to do what you’ve always wanted to: draw on walls. What’s more, here is an opportunity to draw on museum walls with the help and guidance of widely recognised artists from the EN MASSE large-scale drawing collaborative platform.

You may have already appreciated EN MASSE’s work at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Piknic Électronik, Osheaga or at Simons with Sid Lee. If not, you can get a taste of their work here:

6pm: A cocktail celebration with a glass of wine in one hand and a marquer in the other.
Have a drink and a bite with other young professional amid the work of EN MASSE.

7pm: Cover those walls!
Unleash your inner artist and let your hand contribute to the large mural started by EN MASSE.

EN MASSE is a collaborative drawing initiative started by Jason Botkin and Tim Barnard in 2009. The objective was to create a collective vision with young “neo-pop” artists in Montreal. With backgrounds in comics, graffiti, design and fine arts, the artists get together to create, in situ, large black and white murals that leave much room for improvisation. Under the leadership of Jason Botkin, Rupert Bottenberg and Fred Caron, EN MASSE has authored work for the Nuit blanche of the Montréal en lumière Festival, Osheaga Festival, the Escales improbables and Piknic Électronik, as well as for a number private and public organisations, including SOS Dettes, the Cirque du Soleil, Simons and Sid Lee.
